Our Purpose
Imago Dei Ministries, Inc. is a multi-layered, non-profit, charitable organization under the IRS Code 501(c)(3). It was founded in 2001 by Victor Junious, who is also a Cook County Probation Officer. IDM was established for the purpose of making our surrounding communities better places to live, raise families, and restore hope in the lives of people that have experienced the hard trials of life.
Founder
At the early age of 6, Victor Junious started taking private piano lessons from one of the greatest musicians and teachers in the city of Chicago, Sis Lucinda Blackmon. After studying music for nearly 6 years Victor began playing the piano for the Sunday School of his home church, Mt. Eagle Baptist Church, under the late Pastor, Edicular Draine.
The Lord not only blessed Victor with the gift of music but also a love and hunger to serve others. Victor has served as a musician at Mt. Eagle Baptist Church since 1990. He has also served as a musician for many other churches and groups across Chicago.
In 2001 the Lord gave Victor a vision of uniting people from different music ministries to create one; United Voices of Inspiration Community Choir. In the fall of 2007, the ministry grew in size and in purpose. The organization’s name changed to Imago Dei Ministries Inc.
